Dr. Teresa Roberts
Board Certified Pediatric & Adult Anesthesiologist
Dr. Teresa Roberts is a board-certified anesthesiologist with advanced training in both adult and pediatric care. She brings over two decades of experience, a deep sense of compassion, and a strong commitment to making medical and dental procedures as safe and comfortable as possible for every patient.

Originally from Columbia, Maryland, Dr. Roberts was raised in upstate New York before moving to the Washington, DC area for college and medical school. She earned her medical degree with distinction from The George Washington University School of Medicine in 2003, where she also completed her residency in Anesthesiology and served as Chief Resident.
​
Driven by a desire to care for patients of all ages, Dr. Roberts pursued specialized training in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Children’s National Health System in Washington, DC. She stayed on as faculty there, helping train future anesthesiologists and contributing to medical education. During this time, she also completed a graduate degree in Leadership Development to further support her work in teaching and mentoring.

In 2016, Dr. Roberts saw an important gap in care—many patients, especially children and those with special needs or dental anxiety, were not getting the anesthesia services they needed in dental settings. In response, she founded Oak Hill Anesthesia Services, which now partners with over 70 dental practices across Northern Virginia. Her team is known for providing gentle, personalized care tailored to each patient's needs.

Dr. Roberts holds dual board certifications in Adult and Pediatric Anesthesiology and is a diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology. In recognition of her leadership and contributions to the field, she was awarded a prestigious fellowship (FASA) by the American Society of Anesthesiologists in 2020.
